What is League of Kingdoms?

In July 2020, League of Kingdoms was launched as the pioneering 4x MMO strategy game on the blockchain. As of Q1 2022, it stands out as one of the world's fastest-growing blockchain MMO games.

Operated on the blockchain network, the game's NFT ecosystem encompasses a diverse array of in-game assets and properties, notably its distinctive Land NFTs. These Land NFTs, residing on the blockchain, symbolize the very terrain upon which the League of Kingdoms world exists.

Land in League of Kingdoms

In the League of Kingdoms game universe, Lands are unique ERC-721 (NFT) tokenized digital estates, with a limited supply of 65,536 parcels (256x256). As of November 2021, only a fraction, approximately 6%, is currently in circulation.

Each Land represents ownership not only of a parcel in the continent where the game is played but also every parcel at the same coordinate across all existing continents. This is made possible by the unique scaling mechanism of the MMORTS genre, continually adding new servers. By owning a coordinate, players possess all parcels located at that point, ensuring ownership of both current utility and future game growth.

Players can own and engage in games on their Lands, earning development points that serve as the basis for Land rewards and levels. The introduction of the $LOKA cryptocurrency and an updated Land dashboard in the first half of 2022 will replace DAI/BUSD token rewards with $LOKA rewards.

LOKA Token

The League of Kingdoms Arena (LOKA) is the governance token for the kingdoms within the game, presented by the TPA Metaverse Foundation. LOKA holders enjoy a unique position of jurisdictional oversight across entire continents, irrespective of land ownership. This authority allows them to regulate activities, impose taxes, charge fees, set bounties, and establish a distinct set of laws for other players to follow.

In essence, LOKA provides a wide array of exclusive rights and benefits, including membership privileges, discounted acquisition of valuable game assets, and active participation in various community events. These LOKA shards, functioning as ERC-20 governance tokens on the Ethereum blockchain, can be earned by players through game content and community initiatives, as well as obtained from secondary markets like Binance.

League of Kingdoms Team Background

Chan Lee, the CEO of NOD Games, plays a pivotal role in decision-making, drawing on his technical expertise and extensive business background. With a Computer Science degree from Pohang University of Science and Technology, Chan has a diverse career, including leadership roles at DAYLI financial group and co-founding NEXTMATCH, later acquired by Metalabs. Fascinated by NFTs and blockchain gaming, he founded NOD Games after the successful exit.

As the CTO, Steve Hwang oversees engineering, technical strategy, and project initiatives, bringing over 20 years of game development experience.

Co-founder Han Yoo, as the COO, leads marketing and business development, drawing on his background in supply chain and product management at LG Electronics. Together, they drive NOD Games' success, blending technical prowess and business acumen in the dynamic world of blockchain gaming.
