Products of Vesper Finance

Vesper Finance presents three primary pools:

1. Vesper Grow Pool: This pool directs your deposited assets to lucrative opportunities elsewhere, enhancing the quantity of the deposited asset over time. For instance, depositing $ETH will result in a gradual increase in the amount of $ETH.
2. Vesper Earn Pool: Similar to the Grow Pool, this pool utilizes generated interest to automatically acquire a different type of asset. Consequently, the Vesper Earn Pool accumulates assets distinct from those initially deposited.
3. Vesper Orbit: While entailing more risk, the Vesper Orbit pool offers higher returns in conjunction with the two aforementioned pools. It engages with new protocols, implementing risky yet profitable strategies to generate returns.

Benefits of VSP Tokens

Key attributes of the VSP token that establish it as the optimal token for governing the Vesper ecosystem are:

• Voting Rights: VSP tokens represent voting weight within the Vesper ecosystem, empowering holders to influence decisions such as deploying reserves and approving new strategies.
• Delegation: Inherited from Compound, VSP holders have the flexibility to delegate their voting weight to other accounts.
• Holistic View: Vesper operates as a unified, single-token ecosystem, where every present and future product interfaces with VSP. VSP bestows voting rights across the entire Vesper portfolio, and the revenue generated by all products is utilized to repurchase VSP from the open market.
• Time-Locked Mintage: The administrative "mint" function is restricted for the initial twelve months. This restriction prevents the expansion of the token supply beyond 10 million until a future point when ownership fully transitions to the community of VSP holders. At that juncture, the community can autonomously decide whether to extend emissions.

Vesper Finance Project Development

In October 2023, after the implementation of VIP-27, a new application has been developed to host all retired Vesper pools, with the objective of enhancing both the user interface and user experience. The rationale behind this initiative is Vesper's reliance on yield revenue to cover gas fees for all pool operations. Pools that fail to attract sufficient deposits end up incurring higher gas fees than they generate, impacting the overall revenue model and diminishing the amount of VSP bought back for vVSP/esVSP depositors. Retiring these underperforming pools allows Vesper to optimize revenue without compromising the overall user experience.

During this transition, users retain the ability to withdraw funds from these retired pools. However, these pools will no longer generate yield and will not accept new deposits.
