## Architecture Overview
Rhino.fi is built on StarkEx, a scalability rollup on Layer 2 of the Ethereum blockchain, developed by partner StarkWare. Utilizing zero-knowledge technology, StarkEx validates transactions efficiently, providing fast, low-cost, and self-custodial transactions.

### Security and Upgrades
Security is paramount to Rhino.fi's self-custody. The platform employs a timelock contract for upgrades, ensuring a balance between self-custody and the ability to enhance functionality securely. Emergency withdrawal processes further guarantee users complete self-custody, even in unforeseen circumstances.

### AMMs and Liquidity Pools
Rhino.fi introduces four liquidity pools, each covering a unique token pair. These pools leverage Automated Market Makers ([AMMs](https://coinrotator.app/coin/pendle)) built on the scalability engine StarkEx. Users can earn rewards for holding tokens and contribute to liquidity, facilitating smooth swaps and trades.

Rhino.fi's AMMs operate off the Ethereum mainnet, reducing gas costs for users during transactions. The platform employs a pricing mechanism based on the UniSwap curve, with the flexibility to implement different mechanisms in the future, such as those tailored for stablecoin pools.

## DVF Token
Rhino.fi's native token, DVF, empowers the community by offering not just tradeability but also a pivotal role in governance decisions. DVF holders enjoy exclusive benefits, including a free bridging service for swift exploration of new opportunities, enhanced yield access on top tokens like stETH, USDC, and USDT, and priority eligibility for future airdrops from both partners and rhino.fi. Holding DVF grants voting rights on crucial aspects such as smart contract functionality, fee allocation, and the evolution of the governance process. Additionally, DVF holders can propose updates to the community and trigger votes. To unlock these privileges, staking DVF for its staked counterpart, xDVF, is required, providing an avenue for active participation in shaping the Rhino.fi ecosystem.

Will Harborne, the Founder and Strategic Advisor of rhino.fi, brings extensive experience and vision to the project. As a Cambridge graduate deeply passionate about crypto, Will is recognized for his pioneering contributions to the industry. Apart from founding rhino.fi, he co-founded Zero Knowledge Validator and actively promotes privacy technologies within the crypto community. In his current role as Strategic Advisor, Will's strategic insights and entrepreneurial spirit continue to propel innovation and growth.

Daniel Yanev, the Co-founder and CEO, transitioned seamlessly from CPO to CEO, marking a crucial moment in rhino.fi's journey. ## Project Develoment
On February 1, 2024, the team behind Rhino.fi made an exciting announcement, revealing that their bridge now supports [ZetaChain](https://coinrotator.app/coin/zetachain). With a dedication to becoming the premier platform for users to move assets across various ecosystems, including both EVM and non-EVM compatible chains, this integration expands the project's capabilities.

ZetaChain, a Proof-of-Stake blockchain, recently launched its mainnet after introducing its testnet two years ago. ZetaChain addresses the challenges of communication between different multi-chain solutions and allows the signing and verification of transactions on every connected chain. The native token, ZETA, plays a crucial role in facilitating gas payments, securing the PoS blockchain, and enabling secure cross-chain transfers and swaps.

To celebrate the integration of ZetaChain, the project has removed all platform fees for users when bridging assets from any of the supported chains to ZetaChain, requiring only the payment of gas fees. This integration marks a significant milestone, bringing the total number of connected chains to 18, reaffirming the project's commitment to providing users with unparalleled access to diverse opportunities.
