What is Orion Money?

Orion Money is a cross-chain stablecoin bank designed to offer seamless stablecoin saving, lending, and spending across multiple blockchain networks. The project features three main products:

• Orion Saver: A cross-chain savings dApp delivering high and stable yields on stablecoin deposits.
• Orion Yield and Insurance: Provides high-yield, insured financial products to enhance the value for stakers and depositors.

Orion Saver

Orion Saver is Orion Money’s flagship product, offering:

ORION Tokens

The ORION token is integral to Orion Money’s ecosystem, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens. It supports cross-chain functionality, incentivizes high yields, and allows staking for rewards and governance participation.

Team Background and Backers

The Orion Money team includes four developers skilled in Solidity, Rust, and both frontend and backend development, plus a designer for graphics and illustrations. They are supported by a network of developers and partners like Delphi Digital, Terraform Labs, and Anchor Protocol to facilitate rapid scaling.

Project Development

Following the UST depeg and Terra chain crash, Orion Money faced closure. The project maintained its services for the next three months, allowing withdrawals and smart contract upgrades. Users could then access their tokens directly from smart contracts for an additional 12 months. ORION liquidity remained locked for 2.5 years.
