Genopets operates on a dual-token system consisting of KI and GENE Tokens, each serving distinct functions within the game. KI Tokens are used for in-game utilities such as crafting and terraforming, while GENE Tokens are governance and staking tokens used for NFT sales and rewards. The game also introduces sGENE, a synthetic token for in-game use only.

Project Development

In preparation for the next phase of Genopets, dubbed "Genopets Reborn," the team unveils three proposals for a Tokenomics Revamp. These changes aim to reshape the game's economy, enhancing player experience and supporting future plans. The first initiative, Qubits:GENE, will align the in-game economy with the governance token, $GENE, by making it the backing currency of Qubits.

Energy 2.0, the second initiative, introduces changes to the Energy system to ensure fair gameplay, discourage cheating, and provide new ways to acquire Energy. Lastly, the Harvesting Rework initiative aims to simplify incentives and system mechanics to encourage greater adoption.
