## What is  Aave?
Aave is an innovative platform that enables users to engage either as depositors or borrowers. Depositors contribute liquidity to the market, earning passive income, while borrowers have the flexibility to borrow with overcollateralized or undercollateralized options. The protocol operates on the Ethereum network, and users can interact with it through a user interface client, API, or directly with smart contracts.

## Why Aave?
Aave stands out for its audited and secure protocol. It operates as an open-source system, allowing seamless interaction through various interfaces and fostering the development of third-party services. Users can build applications to enhance their experience and interact with the protocol in diverse ways.

Aave V3 introduces several key features aimed at enhancing capital efficiencies, security, and cross-chain functionality. Notable among these features is the Isolation Mode, enabling Aave Governance to list new assets with specific debt ceilings. The High Efficiency Mode (E-mode) maximizes capital efficiency for correlated collateral and borrowed assets, providing flexibility while maintaining stability.

## Interacting with Aave Protocol
To participate in the Aave protocol, users simply supply their preferred assets and amounts. This process not only enables them to earn passive income based on market borrowing demand but also allows them to borrow using the supplied assets as collateral. The interest earned by supplying funds helps offset the interest rate accumulated through borrowing.

## LEND and AAVE Token

This process allows users to actively participate in Aave Protocol governance and stake within the Safety Module. The migration ratio is set at 100 LEND to 1 AAVE, streamlining the transition for users.

Stani Kulechov, the Founder and CEO of Aave, leads the development of an open-source, non-custodial liquidity market protocol designed for earning interest on deposits and facilitating asset borrowing. His journey with Ethereum began while studying law at the University of Helsinki, prompting him to delve into its potential impact on the conventional financial system.

## Project Development

The TEMP CHECK initiative presents a strategic proposal to integrate the [GHO](https://coinrotator.app/coin/gho) stablecoin, Aave Protocol's native asset, across multiple blockchain networks. The primary goal is to enhance GHO's liquidity, accessibility, and interoperability while ensuring security and stability. Recognizing the limitations of GHO, currently accessible mainly through Ethereum, the proposal envisions GHO becoming a multichain asset to broaden its reach and utility in decentralized finance (DeFi). Aave Labs, after thorough evaluation, advocates for Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as the solution for deploying GHO cross-chain.

Motivated by the desire to increase GHO's accessibility and liquidity, especially for smaller transactions, the proposal emphasizes the benefits of operating on networks with lower transaction fees and faster transaction speeds. Aave Labs proposes a canonical, unified cross-chain strategy using [Chainlink](https://coinrotator.app/coin/chainlink)'s CCIP, citing its strong network of decentralized oracle operators, audited infrastructure, and flexible relayer mode as key advantages. 

The proposed specification involves utilizing CCIP to seamlessly transfer GHO tokens between different blockchain networks, employing a combination of lock/release and mint/burn models to ensure secure and efficient cross-chain transactions. The canonical version of GHO on each destination chain is facilitated by an Aave Governance-controlled facilitator with a specific bucket capacity, outlining clear processes for transferring GHO between Ethereum and other chains.
