Clover Finance Rebrands to CLV

On March 10th, 2022, Clover Finance underwent a transformation, proudly rebranding to CLV. The move signifies a deeper plunge into the Web3 future, aligning with the upcoming release of new Wallet and Chain products. The $CLV token retains its central role in governing the parachain network within the CLV ecosystem, with additional utilities anticipated as development progresses.

What is CLV?

CLV is a comprehensive infrastructure platform designed for cross-chain functionality and decentralized applications (dApps). Technical aptness is central to CLV's design. Both chains are validated and secured by the Substrate framework, offering compatibility with Ethereum and supporting seamless migration of existing dApps to CLV P-Chain.

Clover Finance Team Background and Backers

The foundational figures behind the Clover project include Viven Kirby, Norelle Ng, and Burak Keçeli. Viven Kirby, an accomplished enterprise resource planner, leads the Clover Finance project. Previously, Kirby held the position of Microsoft Dynamics Architect at AXSource, showcasing expertise in enterprise solutions.

Norelle Ng, the operations lead at Clover Finance, brings extensive blockchain knowledge and a background in Human-Computer Interaction to the team. With a robust advisory role at Bithumb Global and Guru Online AdBeyond (Group) Limited, Ng has also contributed as the head of client relations at Amber Group.

Burak Keçeli, currently serving as the tech lead for Clover Finance, is a distinguished computer programmer with a remarkable journey that began at the age of 10. Keçeli has notably founded MBO Games and Staqq, an innovative instant cross-border payments platform. His programming skills contribute significantly to the technical leadership of Clover Finance.

Project Development

In a significant development, the CLV team has decided to retain and renew their parachain lease on the Polkadot network, overturning the initial plan to migrate to the Binance Smart Chain. Unforeseen technical challenges prompted a reevaluation, leading the team to prioritize the community's best interests. To ensure a seamless experience, the project will stay on its current parachain and has successfully secured a new Polkadot lease, effective from January 16, 2024, to November 20, 2025, through a self-funded bid. Acknowledging the inconvenience caused, the team is diligently working on a comprehensive reward program as a gesture of gratitude to the community, emphasizing their commitment to providing an even more rewarding experience in the future.
