What is Carry?
Carry Protocol is a blockchain project designed to empower consumers by giving them control over their offline data and monetization rights. The project aims to become the first widely adopted cryptocurrency for everyday consumers. To facilitate mass adoption, Carry Protocol has strategically partnered with key players in South Korea, such as Dodo Point, the largest loyalty service for offline stores in Korea and Japan.
Connecting Merchants and Consumers on the Blockchain
At its core, Carry is a platform connecting merchants and consumers using blockchain technology. The system involves key participants, namely merchants, consumers, and advertisers. Advertisers, initially expected to be merchants within the system, play a crucial role in connecting with consumers through the Carry Protocol.
The project is structured into two main components. The first component is the blockchain itself, housing the Carry transaction database and smart contracts. The second component comprises APIs connecting the blockchain to third-party software, including the Carry wallet API and Carry device API.
Why Choose Carry?
Addressing the Problem of Data Privacy
One of the significant issues Carry Protocol tackles is the lack of control consumers have over their purchase data. By leveraging blockchain technology, Carry empowers individual consumers, allowing them to take charge of their purchase data and decide how it is monetized. This contrasts with the current practice where consumers often surrender their data rights without control.
A New Paradigm of Advertising
Carry Protocol introduces a unique advertising platform where advertisers can send ads directly to consumers on the blockchain. Consumers are incentivized for sharing their data and receiving ads, creating a more transparent and mutually beneficial advertising model. This innovative approach forms a purchase data ecosystem where consumers, stores, and advertisers can all benefit.
Means of Payment and Branded Tokens
Carry Protocol supports various means of payment, including cryptocurrencies like CRE and BT, as well as traditional fiat methods. Merchants can choose to accept cryptocurrency payments directly or through settlement service providers.
Branded Tokens (BT) play a crucial role, acting as loyalty points issued by merchants. These tokens can be utilized for targeted advertisements, creating a personalized and effective marketing strategy. Consumers are rewarded with CRE for uploading transaction data, further encouraging their engagement in the ecosystem.
Smart Contracts and Carry Token (CRE)
Smart Contracts form the backbone of Carry Protocol, enabling various features, including the issuance of BT. Merchants using Smart Contracts must stake CRE or pay a fee in CRE for each use, ensuring the integrity and security of the system. CRE serves multiple purposes, including staking for Smart Contracts, rewarding advertisements, and acting as a means of payment within the ecosystem.
To incentivize consumers for uploading transaction data, Carry Protocol introduces inflation in the form of CRE. This inflation is linked to the growth of the protocol and is adjusted based on the value of new transaction data. The CRE Pool accumulates fees from Smart Contracts and inflation, providing a sustainable reward mechanism for consumers.

This momentous decision, supported by the beloved CRE token holders, reflects Carry's commitment to exploring the vast potential of Web3 games. The transition is driven by the recognition of the evolving digital game industry and the burgeoning rise of Web3 games.
Carry's understanding of the opportunities and challenges in this emerging sector propels the creation of a new infrastructure tailored to seamlessly integrate blockchain technologies into all games, addressing online game economics intricacies. The community-driven transition witnessed an impressive turnout, with 99.63% of voters endorsing Carry's expansion into the game industry, attracting more than five times the expected quorum.
