How Beta Finance Calculate Risk

In Beta Finance, security is prioritized through an isolated collateral model, ensuring the overall protocol remains safe even if a specific asset faces compromise. Governance-verified markets are evaluated for smart-contract risk, counterparty risk, and market risk. Smart-contract risk considers transaction volume, holders, audit quality, bug bounties, TVL, and asset age. Counterparty risk assesses centralization, governance structure, regulatory exposure, custodian reliance, and market characteristics.

Market risk is quantitatively assessed based on 24-hour volume, paired liquidity, AMM liquidity growth, decay, and historical price movement risk. This framework aids in evaluating an asset's riskiness, guiding governance in assigning the asset to a specific tier (S, AA, A, BB, B, C) within the money market. The assigned tier dictates appropriate Loan-to-Value (LTV) and Collateral Factors.
