High-Performance Exchange

Hybrid Liquidity

IDEX introduces Hybrid Liquidity (IDEX HL), integrating a smart-contract AMM as a liquidity source. This next-gen DEX combines a traditional order book and matching engine with liquidity pools from an AMM, providing traders with the best combination of limit orders and pool liquidity for cost-effective execution. IDEX Team Background

Launched in 2017 by CEO and co-founder Alex Wearn, along with his brother and COO Phil Wearn, IDEX has grown under their leadership. Alex Wearn, an alumnus of Kellogg School of Management, brings a wealth of experience from renowned companies like Amazon, IBM, and Adobe. Phil Wearn, with a background in accounting and a degree in astronautical engineering, contributes entrepreneurial expertise to the team. The management is further strengthened by CTO Brian Yennie, a seasoned software engineer with over 20 years of experience. The current IDEX team, consisting of 29 members according to LinkedIn, reflects a diverse and skilled workforce.

Project Development

Presenting a swift overview of the revamped IDEX: Embracing a clean approach, IDEX bids farewell to version numbers, introducing "The All-New IDEX." Notably, version 4 is now succeeded by this fresh iteration.

A pivotal update is the integration of XCHAIN to power IDEX. The IDEX team leverages cutting-edge technological advancements to introduce the first perpetual futures DEX. This innovative platform seamlessly merges a Centralized Exchange (CEX)-like trading experience with Decentralized Exchange (DEX)-like custody and security. Operating on XCHAIN, a Layer2 powered by Polygon's zkEVM, the new IDEX promises enhanced efficiency and security for users. The transition marks a significant step forward in providing an advanced and user-friendly decentralized trading experience.
