What is Apollo?
Apollo is a decentralized autonomous organization designed to supercharge the yields on Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSDs) in an easy and user-friendly way. It offers the highest yields for LSDs within Cosmos and beyond, beginning with its flagship ETH Vault on Neutron and concentrated liquidity vaults on Osmosis.
Apollo is more than a regular yield aggregator; it's a community-driven organization aiming to enhance the yield farming experience for both crypto and non-crypto native users. Key components of Apollo include:
- Apollo Vaults: Tokenize yield opportunities to enable supercharged yield on LSDs and USD.
- Apollo Safe: Easiest way to secure, manage, and govern a multi-sig wallet on the Cosmos ecosystem.
- Apollo Warchest: A capital warchest and investment protocol ensuring stability of vault funds and operations.
Recent Video Interview
Main points of the interview:
- Apollo's asset management focus in the Cosmos ecosystem.
- In-person networking with Cosmos community members in New York.
- Overview of Apollo's tools like multi-sig, payroll streaming, and leverage vaults.
- Insights on their leverage vaults' successful launch, integration with Mars, and future expansion plans.
What Does Apollo Do?
Apollo is a DeFi protocol built on Cosmos that tokenizes yield opportunities, enabling composability while supercharging yields without inflationary incentives. It creates a deflationary and self-sufficient $APOLLO token from launch, incentivizing liquidity by harvesting volatility from the crypto market. Key features include:
- Tokenized: Apollo effectively wraps any yield source in a Vault Token, compounding all rewards/yield.
- Composable: Vault Tokens enable Yield Positions for use throughout DeFi.
- Supercharged: Utilizes methods like Volatility Farming and integration to enhance utility and yields.
By leveraging Volatility Farming and working with partners to tailor unique vaults, Apollo builds a sustainable business model with a deflationary token. While initially focused on LSD LPs, Apollo can tokenize almost any yield source.
APOLLO Utility?
APOLLO is a deflationary utility token central to Apollo's volatility farming and governance. It incentivizes liquidity through Vault Token/APOLLO pools, generating fees/taxes to incentivize vaults, burn APOLLO, and reward LPs. Governance and staking will soon allow holders to vote on proposals and manage key parameters.
- Apollo Warchest The Warchest manages protocol-owned liquidity to ensure liquidity for APOLLO and maximize liquidity into Apollo’s volatility farming. With assets of approximately $1.2 million, APOLLO stakers will oversee liquidity provisions.
- Apollo Long Term As Apollo matures, it will become less volatile due to the depth and variety of Vault Token/APOLLO LP pools. It will offer broad exposure to the crypto market, function as collateral, and continuously earn yield from volatility.
Apollo Vaults and Apollo Safe
Apollo Vaults tokenize yield opportunities, enhancing yield on LSDs. Apollo Safe secures, manages, and governs multi-sig wallets and generates a DAO for protocols or communities. With built-in templates and support for various networks, it provides a secure treasury solution.

Project Development
In January 22, 2024, the Apollo token relaunched, introducing a 3% buy and sell tax to fund the team and create deflationary $APOLLO from its inception. Terra holders of $APOLLO could claim their airdrop via the Apollo Farm website. A proposal was put forth to Astroport Governance, aiming to establish a pool with buy and sell taxes for the relaunch. The proposed long-term tax rates were set at 3% for both buy and sell taxes, with initial sell tax rates of 10% for the first week, reducing to 5% in the second week, and stabilizing at 3% thereafter.
This strategy was implemented to maximize liquidity throughout Cosmos, foster development, and reduce sell pressure. The increased tax rate at launch was intended to remove APOLLO supply from the market and enhance trading volume during the initial weeks. Support from xASTRO holders was sought to facilitate the proposal's approval and the successful launch of $APOLLO.
