## Blockchains Supported by Altura

Developers have the flexibility to specify the blockchain for minting NFTs or collections on the Altura marketplace via a convenient dropdown menu. However, once an NFT is minted on a specific blockchain, it remains bound to that chain and cannot be transferred to another. Altura's API and SDKs automatically detect the blockchain associated with NFTs, simplifying integration.

## Gas Fees
Gas fees, essential for processing transactions on blockchains, are incurred in the native currency of the respective blockchain. Altura provides support for obtaining gas on testnet chains, enabling developers to test their applications without real expenditure.

## Minting and Importing NFTs
NFT creation and management occur on the Altura marketplace, which supports the ERC1155 standard. Developers can choose to mint NFTs with initial supply above zero for immediate sale or with zero initial supply for later distribution through Lazy Minting. Organizing NFTs into collections enhances user experience and discoverability.

## The Developer Wallet
Every project on Altura includes a developer wallet for managing assets, such as transferring and minting NFTs. Various endpoints facilitate asset transfers and additional supply minting, albeit requiring gas for blockchain transactions.
